Andrea is a Chilean English–Spanish translator and language professional with more than 20 years of experience across translation, education, and administrative support. Throughout her career, she has built a strong foundation in both linguistic expertise and cross-cultural communication, allowing her to work effectively in diverse professional environments.
She spent a year and a half living in Carmel, Indiana, where she served as a Spanish and Italian instructor at the Indy Language Center. During this time, she worked with students of varying backgrounds and proficiency levels, developing tailored teaching strategies to support language acquisition and cultural understanding. Her experience in the United States further strengthened her ability to navigate multicultural contexts and collaborate with international teams.
Currently based in Chile, Andrea continues to teach languages online, providing flexible and personalized instruction to students across different regions. In parallel, she works with Indy Translations as an Interpreter Recruiter and Scheduler, where she coordinates interpreting services across multiple U.S. states. In this role, she manages logistics, communicates with interpreters and clients, and ensures that language services are delivered efficiently and professionally.
Over the years, Andrea has gained experience in a variety of industries, particularly in mining and tourism, where precise communication and cultural sensitivity are essential. Her professional strengths include adaptability, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. She is deeply committed to continuous learning and is passionate about entrepreneurship, constantly seeking new opportunities to grow and expand her expertise in the language services field.
