10 Week Course Itinerary
30 Hours Total • 10 Classes • 3 Hours Each
Week 1: Review of Beginner 3 concepts; expanded sentence patterns and conversational practice.
Week 2: Talking about travel, transportation, destinations, and giving directions.
Week 3: Health, routines, symptoms, and practical medical or pharmacy interactions.
Week 4: Work, school, technology, and describing responsibilities and schedules.
Week 5: Expressing opinions, preferences, reasons, and explanations in conversation.
Week 6: Describing experiences, memories, and events using expanded past-tense structures.
Week 7: Invitations, suggestions, intentions, and discussing future plans naturally.
Week 8: Reading longer dialogues with increased kanji recognition and comprehension activities.
Week 9: Listening comprehension, social interactions, and real-world role-play scenarios.
Week 10: Comprehensive review, conversational assessments, and cultural activities focused on Japanese customs, etiquette, and communication styles.
Meet Your Instructor
Ai
Languages: Japanese
Ai is our wonderful Japanese instructor, bringing both warmth and extensive experience to her classroom. She graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University with a degree in English and American Literature, where she developed a deep appreciation for language, culture, and communication. After graduation, she worked as an English attendant for several companies, supporting professionals in their language development and cross-cultural communication. She then transitioned into teaching and has spent over 10 years working as an English teacher in Japan.
Throughout her career, Ai has taught students of all ages and backgrounds, helping them build confidence and practical language skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Her teaching style is interactive, engaging, and student-centered, always focusing on making lessons both meaningful and enjoyable.
Outside of the classroom, Ai is passionate about traveling and has visited nearly 30 countries. She loves immersing herself in new cultures, meeting people from different backgrounds, and discovering unique traditions and perspectives. Exploring the world and embracing new experiences have always been an important part of who she is. She brings that same curiosity, openness, and enthusiasm into her classes—creating a positive, fun, and welcoming space where students feel inspired to learn and grow.
