Our Chinese Class Will Join the Carmelfest Parade With the Chinese Lion Dance Team!

CarmelFest Parade, Carmel's Independence Day celebration, will be held on Monday, July 5. Our Chinese class will participate with IACA’s Lion Dance Team! Learning happens everywhere. Through interactive learning experiences, our students discover meaningful connections between what they learn in the classroom and the world around them.

Our Chinese class will experience the Chinese culture while learning the language by being part of the Lion Dance Team in the parade. Lion dance is a form of traditional dance in Chinese culture. Performers mimic a lion's movements in a lion costume. The dance is accompanied by the music of beating drums, clashing cymbals, and resounding gongs. It is a vibrant folk art performed at various celebrations to promote joy and excitement.
