Student & Class Coordinator

Part-Time (potential for full-time) |  $11-13 /hour  |  Carmel, IN

Indy Language Center and Indy Translations have a passion for languages, and we’re looking for the right person to fill the student coordinator position in our office.

 

This is a great job for someone who loves talking to people, practicing their language skills, and learning more about other cultures. This unique opportunity is a part-time position, with the potential to advance to full time employment in the future if desired. Weekly pay and discounts on language courses!

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • Be familiar with current promotions and policies and recommend solutions to fit client problems.

  • Answer client emails and telephone calls, and follow up on inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Greet and answer questions for all walk-in clients, for school and translations.

  • Take payments for translations, class tuition, and book sales.

  • Document payments, phone calls, and emails with students appropriately.

  • Update client account information as needed.

  • Keep common areas and classrooms orderly.

  • Maintain a schedule of classroom use and direct students and teachers to the correct classroom as needed.

  • Basic computer proficiency.

  • A passion for foreign languages! Bilingual Spanish-English preferred, other languages a plus. 

  • Upbeat and positive attitude!

  • Punctuality and reliability.

  • Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with students and co-workers.

  • Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent required.

  • 1 year experience in a similar role preferred. 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
